In this interactive seminar, hygienists discuss a variety of clinical dental hygiene and dental practice challenges via group exercises and case studies. Participants are requested to submit challenges they have faced at the start of the program; the speaker also presents a variety of miscellaneous issues that can arise within the scope of daily dental hygiene practice. Example: Patient has huge bilateral mandibular tori and is a gagger. How do we x-ray effectively? How do we motivate patients who are non-compliant? How do we address inflammatory conditions that may be systemically linked, such as lichen planus? How do we manage referral challenges with our doctors? Efforts are made to attain group feedback and resolution.
Course Objectives:
Explore and resolve, via group discussion and case studies, a variety of clinical challenges in our dental hygiene practices.
Consider the ergonomic and visual benefits of loupe magnification in treatment of patients
Learn take home pearls that increase our value to dental practices.
