Delve into YOUR personal stress profile and learn tools to modify and adapt to it in an interactive , fun and relatable course.
Predict your patients and provide them with the tools necessary to combat their own stress and learn to avoid the stress a patient can bring upon you. Lastly, review the clinical tools and techniques that help manage the career stress of a dental professional.
(3 hours course)
Objectives:
Understand the different types and physiological components of stress as well as effects on the oral cavity
Understand self-care methods to prevent burnout
Learn to adapt practice approaches to the anxious patient
Utilize clinical technologies to provide a more comfortable patient experience and relive provider stress
Presented by: Sarah Eller-Clark, BS, IPDH
Sarah Clark, RDH, IPDH is a 2014 graduate of New Hampshire Technical Institute’s Dental Hygiene program. With a passion for advocacy, Sarah went on to volunteer for the Maine Dental Hygienists’ Association holding various roles including President, through 2021, until relocating to North Carolina. She is also the secretary and only original board member for the non-profit the National Network of Healthcare Hygienists, working towards medical & dental integration.
Sarah currently holds many roles in dentistry including Clinical Advisor for Wally Health, Inc., Student Success Coordinator for StudentRDH, Adjunct Clinical faculty at Coastal Carolina Community College, co-owner of UpScale Education LLC., and founder of Sarah Clark, RDH, where she is a key opinion leader providing continuing education programs on various topics.
She has also been published in various dental hygiene publications such as RDH magazine & Dental Entrepreneurial Women. Most recently, Sarah became the first dental hygienist approved to administer local anesthesia in North Carolina, and provided the first live injection to a patient by a hygienist in the state.
