PART 2 – In our Adult Patients- Snoring, UARS (Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome), LPR (Laryngeal Pharyngeal Reflux)
There is an airway obstruction epidemic today that is affecting children across all healthcare fields. Symptoms such as mouth breathing, snoring, UARS, and sleep apnea are continuing to become more prevalent among our youngest generation. As a result, it is our obligation to stay educated on the resulting health effect in (1) pediatric sleep quality (2) under-developed cranial facial complex (3) muscle parafunction and (4) REM sleep fragmentation with associated ADHD like symptoms.
This discussion is designed to be interactive as we will take a few breaks through the Discussion to answer questions. This is the first in a Series of Discussions about the Airway and our World of Dentistry and why we all should have some knowledge of airway concerns to better help our clients in their health journey’s.
