(3 CEUs)
Presented by Kimberly Evans, MS, RD, CD

In this workshop you will learn about the current science of nutrition as it relates to both self care and the care of your patients.  There is a strong association between nutrition, oral health and chronic disease.  Warning signs of chronic disease are often first recognized in the mouth.  This workshop will teach you how to recognize the nutrition implications of these signs and engage in conversation with your patients while also applying the principles of eating well to live well to your own self care.

Objectives:

1. Learn how to recognize and respond to nutrition deficiencies.
2. Understand the association between the mouth, heart disease, and diet.
3. Food as medicine in a dental practice.
