This course is for Thursday January 16, 2025. It will be 1 credit. 1 hour long but we will be recording it. We would like people to be able to hear the recording for 2 weeks after. the fee is FREE for VDHA members and students, $5 for those attending the 16th non-members, to hear the recording it will be a $10 fee. Course Description:
Develop the skills to deliver treatment plans with clarity and compassion in this focused course designed specifically for dental hygienists. Effectively communicating treatment plans is key to building trust and ensuring patients understand the importance of recommended care. In this session, you’ll gain valuable techniques to present treatment plans in a way that resonates with patients, motivates them to take action, and fosters successful outcomes.
We will explore proven communication techniques to simplify complex dental concepts, address common patient concerns, and emphasize the benefits of treatments. You’ll also learn how to establish rapport, manage objections, and confidently guide patients through their treatment options.
By the end of the course, you’ll be better equipped to collaborate effectively with your patients, enhancing their understanding and increasing acceptance of treatment plans.

Nicole Fortune Bio
Nicole Fortune is highly regarded dental hygienist, educator, consultant, and professional speaker who has gained industry-wide recognition for her advanced knowledge of periodontics, peri-implantitis and business to business referral marketing. She became the first dental professional in Vermont certified in Perioscopy, CO2, Diode and Nd:Yag laser use and Guided Biofilm Therapy. She earned both her BA and Dental Hygiene degree at the University of Vermont and MBA from Champlain College. Nicole is currently working with Young Innovations as Clinical Education Manager.
