Student Members of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (SMADHA).
SMADHA is a branch of membership within the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA). SMADHA provides dental hygiene students with an opportunity to practice leadership, decision making, organizational, and communication skills while participating in SMADHA sponsored events. Members participate in events such as fund raising for charities, oral health based community service, SMADHA meetings, and local, state, and regional dental hygiene meetings.
SADHA provides students with invaluable opportunities to preview their career as a dental hygienist. Students gain a better understanding of the structure and purpose of the ADHA and the importance of being an ADHA member as part of their future in dental hygiene.
