Update from President – January 2019
Happy New Year! I cannot believe another year has come and gone. The VDHA wrapped up 2018 with another successful annual meeting in August and hosted its very first Calcutta. Hosting a Calcutta was an idea we had over two years ago and we worked hard to make it come to life in 2018. We wanted to do something that that was a little different and offer the community a chance to come together for a good cause. We ended up raising over $800 that was split between VTC’s Molar Mobile and the community outreach branch of the VDHA.
Looking forward to 2019, here are some of the items on our agenda: several more social events including a sledding event at Sugarbush in March and a future paint and sip TBD. We are also looking into hosting a continuing education class in the southern part of the state this spring. Later events in 2019 will include VDHA’s annual meeting in August and another Calcutta in October. On a monthly basis the VDHA hosts a virtual meeting for the board as well as members to connect. This meeting is open to anyone who would like to join. If you are interested please contact me at [email protected].
